I see inside your secret soul
Wrapped in youth
The moments of pain
It takes to learn,
As you yearn for your own truth
Conflicted yet so clearing slipping into some new place
Lighter somehow now, and how you spread your kindness into empty space
Disbelief falling calmly into whatever is beneath
Some sense of self, searching for the elusive more,
Confusion clears, becomes clarity….
And your spirit seeps clearly through some supposed cynicism.
Forgetting, protecting with a gradual release,
Fearing through fear
And as it falls from your intrigued face
Cleanses your past of imagined guilt
Understanding as you carefully know your beauty
I watch you.
Sensing your soft tenderness
Delicately stronger that you know,
Some kind of peace is within your reach
Questioning….unafraid to ask of youthful violence
Aching to simply slide out of the struggle
Unafraid to fade
Fighting to be true
As you release all thats gone before
Gloriously growing to become you.
